- A
Prayer of the afflicted, when he faints, and pours
out his complaint before the Lord.
- Hear
my prayer, O Lord, and let my cry reach you.
- Do
not hide your face from me in the day when I am in
trouble; incline your ear to me; answer me
speedily in the day when I call.
- For
my days pass away like smoke, and my bones burn
like a furnace.
- My
heart is struck and withered like grass; so that I
forget to eat my bread.

Because of my loud groaning my bones cleave to my
skin.
- I am
like an owl of the wilderness; I am like a night
flier of the desert.
- I
watch; I am like a lonely bird on the roof top.
- My
enemies insult me all the day; and they who are
mad against me are sworn against me.
- For I
have eaten ashes like bread, and mingled my drink
with weeping,

Because of your indignation and your wrath; for
you have lifted me up, and cast me down.
- My
days are like an evening shadow; and I am withered
like grass.
- But
you, O Lord, are enthroned for ever; and your name
endures to all generations.
- You
shall arise, and have mercy upon Zion; for it is
time to favor her, the set time has come.
- For
your servants hold her stones dear, and have pity
on her dust.
- So
the nations shall fear the name of the Lord, and
all the kings of the earth your glory.
- For
the Lord shall build up Zion, he shall appear in
his glory.
- He
will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not
despise their prayer.
- This
shall be written for the generation to come, so
that a people yet unborn may praise the Lord.
- For
he has looked down from the height of his
sanctuary; from heaven the Lord looked at the
earth,
- To
hear the groans of the prisoner; to set free those
who are appointed to die;
- That
men may declare the name of the Lord in Zion, and
his praise in Jerusalem,
- When
the people are gathered together, and the
kingdoms, to serve the Lord.
- He
weakened my strength in the way; he shortened my
days.
- I
say, O my God, do not take me away in the midst of
my days; you whose years endure throughout all
generations.
- Of
old you laid the foundation of the earth; and the
heavens are the work of your hands.
- They
shall perish, but you shall endure; all of them
shall become old like a garment; like clothing you
shall change them, and they will pass away;
- But
you are the same, and your years shall have no
end.
- The
children of your servants shall continue, and
their seed shall be established before you.

א תְּפִלָּה לְעָנִי כִֽי־יַֽעֲטֹף וְלִפְנֵי יְהֹוָה
יִשְׁפֹּךְ שִׂיחֽוֹ
: ב יְהֹוָה שִׁמְעָה תְפִלָּתִי וְשַׁוְעָתִי אֵלֶיךָ
תָבֽוֹא
ג אַל־תַּסְתֵּר פָּנֶיךָ | מִמֶּנִּי בְּיוֹם צַר לִי הַטֵּֽה־אֵלַי
:אָזְנֶךָ
בְּיוֹם אֶקְרָא מַהֵר עֲנֵֽנִי
: ד כִּֽי־כָלוּ בְעָשָׁן יָמָי וְעַצְמוֹתַי
כְּמוֹקֵד נִחָֽרוּ
ה הוּכָּֽה־כָעֵשֶׂב וַיִּבַשׁ לִבִּי כִּֽי־שָׁכַחְתִּי מֵֽאֲכֹל
:לַחְמִֽי
: ו מִקּוֹל אַנְחָתִי דָּבְקָה עַצְמִי לִבְשָׂרִֽי
: ז דָּמִיתִי לִקְאַת מִדְבָּר הָיִיתִי כְּכוֹס
חֳרָבֽוֹת
: ח שָׁקַדְתִּי וָאֶֽהְיֶה כְּצִפּוֹר בּוֹדֵד
עַל־גָּֽג
: ט כָּל־הַיּוֹם חֵרְפוּנִי אוֹיְבָי מְהוֹלָלַי בִּי
נִשְׁבָּֽעוּ
: י כִּי אֵפֶר כַּלֶּחֶם אָכָלְתִּי וְשִׁקֻּוַי
בִּבְכִי מָסָֽכְתִּי
: יא מִפְּנֵי־זַֽעַמְךָ וְקִצְפֶּךָ כִּי נְשָׂאתַנִי
וַתַּשְׁלִיכֵֽנִי
: יב יָמַי כְּצֵל נָטוּי וַֽאֲנִי כָּעֵשֶׂב אִיבָֽשׁ
: יג וְאַתָּה יְהֹוָה לְעוֹלָם תֵּשֵׁב וְזִכְרְךָ
לְדֹר וָדֹֽר
יד אַתָּה תָקוּם תְּרַחֵם צִיּוֹן כִּי עֵת לְחֶנְנָהּ כִּי בָא
:מוֹעֵֽד
טו כִּֽי־רָצוּ עֲבָדֶיךָ אֶת־אֲבָנֶיהָ וְֽאֶת־עֲפָרָהּ
:יְחֹנֵֽנוּ
טז וְיִֽירְאוּ גוֹיִם אֶת־שֵׁם יְהֹוָה וְֽכָל־מַלְכֵי
:הָאָרֶץ
אֶת־כְּבוֹדֶֽךָ
: יז כִּֽי־בָנָה יְהֹוָה צִיּוֹן נִרְאָה בִּכְבוֹדֽוֹ
יח פָּנָה אֶל־תְּפִלַּת הָעַרְעָר וְלֹֽא־בָזָה
:אֶת־תְּפִלָּתָֽם
יט תִּכָּתֶב זֹאת לְדוֹר אַֽחֲרוֹן וְעַם נִבְרָא יְהַלֶּל־יָֽה:ּ
כ כִּֽי־הִשְׁקִיף מִמְּרוֹם קָדְשׁוֹ יְהֹוָה מִשָּׁמַיִם |

: כא לִשְׁמֹעַ אֶנְקַת אָסִיר לְפַתֵּחַ בְּנֵי
תְמוּתָֽה
: כב לְסַפֵּר בְּצִיּוֹן שֵׁם יְהֹוָה וּתְהִלָּתוֹ
בִּירוּשָׁלָֽם
כג בְּהִקָּבֵץ עַמִּים יַחְדָּו וּמַמְלָכוֹת לַֽעֲבֹד
:אֶת־יְהֹוָֽה
: כד עִנָּה בַדֶּרֶךְ כֹּחִו [כֹּחִי] קִצַּר יָמָֽי
כה אֹמַר אֵלִי אַֽל־תַּֽעֲלֵנִי בַּֽחֲצִי יָמָי בְּדוֹר
:דּוֹרִים
שְׁנוֹתֶֽיךָ
: כו לְפָנִים הָאָרֶץ יָסַדְתָּ וּֽמַֽעֲשֵׂה יָדֶיךָ
שָׁמָֽיִם
כז הֵמָּה | יֹאבֵדוּ וְאַתָּה תַֽעֲמֹד וְכֻלָּם כַּבֶּגֶד יִבְלוּ
כַּלְּבוּשׁ תַּֽחֲלִיפֵם וְֽיַֽחֲלֹֽפו:zּ
: כח וְאַתָּה־הוּא וּשְׁנוֹתֶיךָ לֹא יִתָּֽמּוּ
: כט בְּנֵֽי־עֲבָדֶיךָ יִשְׁכּוֹנוּ וְזַרְעָם
לְפָנֶיךָ יִכּֽוֹן
