On Purim, we will discover in the Megillah that Achashveirosh had a Sefer Zichronos-Divrei Hayomim–a written recording of the meaningful events that had transpired for him daily. Because he had this book–he remembered that which he had (perhaps conveniently) forgotten–what Mordechai had done for him. The rest is history–for Achashveirosh having the book read from and ‘remembering’ –was a clear and blatant step in the yeshua that soon took place. There are so many memorable events that could take place in our day–but they get lost with the coming of the next sunrise. It behooves us to record in brief form the successes and failures, the nice things that people said or did, the words or things that one could correct the next time…. Who here on earth knows better about the important details of our personal lives-than ourselves. If we start on our Sefer HaZichronos today–and review it in a month from now–we might experience a personal sense of meaning, fulfillment and growth!
